Troubled to see the commecialization of temples in Tamilnadu, I stopped going to temples. I started visiting St.Mary's Church to worship Goddess Meenakshi. I got an opportunity to visit Shree Mookambikai Amman Temple in Kolluru, in South Canara. The calm and charm of the temple took me a step closer to God. From that time, I am always on the lookout for such temples, where God is felt and not sold.....

As we were returning from Dharmasthala, the tempo driver (who is a local person) stopped us in a an excellently and aesthetically built Ram Temple. Next when you are on a tour to South Canara temples, do not miss this visit.
Madurai, Vandiyur Theppakulam, a beauty on its own. You should be lucky to watch it on the full moonlit glory. Beutifully built and lit THEPPAM (FLOAT) ready to take Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareshwarar around the tank.
Nature's beauty seen at its zenith in Shringeri Sharatha Peetam.
This is the abode of the Goddess of Education.
Watch people feeding fish in the near that runs adjacent to the temple. It is a delight.
The age old Shiva temple, within the temple complex, an architectural marvel in itself.
Sharadha temple, the ancient Shiva temple and the dhwajasthamba
The front view of the Sharadha Amman Temple. Once you visit, you are sure to visit again and again.
